Engine Room North Perth
Engine Room North Perth is a coffee house serving Pound Coffee that has opened today, 6 March 2014. Situated at 450c Fitzgerald St next to the ANZ bank and across the road from The Rosie, it opens at 6am weekdays and 7am on Saturdays.Engine Room North Perth is a rustic, homely place to enjoy a coffee and hang out. They have some tasty little chocolate slices and lemon slices that are complimentary. Unsure if this will be a permanent fixture however they are tasty.
Not rare nowadays they have a tips jar that you can contribute to and (what is rare) in return you can choose a cool lollie, like a “Redskin” – remember them? Eating one now while typing and it is providing a good sugar rush ahead of the smooth coffee flow – make sure you use water to flush in between. The outdoor area has a few tables and is a cool place to sit back and chill with friends. I like that these guys and Addison & Steele (virtually across the road) are both open on Saturdays and later on weeknights. Unlike many places in the City that cater for a “until 3pm” coffee crowd.
I’ve been twice today and will be back again. I was charged $4.50 for a long mac topped up (pictured) and I chose to have the single origin from Pound Roastery.
