Bills Bar & Bites Leederville
Bills Bar & Bites Leederville is the new funky bar to hit up Leedy. In the recently renovated front section of the Leederville Hotel, Bills Bars & Bites is located in between The Garden and close to Duende in Leedy. It opens at 4pm seven days a week.
The greatest impact to me was seeing Emu Export listed on the menu. Emu Export- really? Yes, really. Not the first Bar around Perth to apparently serve the great Western Australian white and red tinnies -in 2014. A couple more do..if you know who they are, please comment below! At $4.50 a can, this has to be one of the cheapest beers available in the State, let alone the uber trendy/cool/hipster cultural hot pot of Leedy.
Emu Export is increasingly gaining traction around Perth and I think it is left field and cool to see a venue being bold enough to place it on their beer list. As you can see from the embedded PDF menu below, the beer list is strong and long. Ranging from one end at $4.50 for an Emu Export right up to $25 which will buy you a Rogue (USA) Ale or Pale Ale. They also do Jelain beer from France, Mexican, UK, and Kiwi beer. Three pages long, they got some good beer. If you feel a little peckish after knocking back some beers or quality custom made cocktails, suggest you cross the road and visit Duende Leederville.
Cocktails – $15 each. Two pages of choices or they will cater to what you are feeling outside the box. Good to see the list is clearly built with some sound knowledge – Hibiscus Smoked Sazerac, anyone? The food is tapas based and Mediterranean twined with Swordfish ceviche ($12) to Duck, manchego cigars and green tomato relish ($5 ea)
As you can see by the photo gallery here, the seating is comfortable and spacious. What isn’t pictured is a pool table up the back. Won’t be long before this place is found out by the whole of Perth and the droves -as they do- infiltrate. So if you are like me and prefer getting in on the cutting edge, given this has only been open for four days you better get in QUICK. Right next door to The Garden Leederville providing a funky extension for some quality hang out time.
